ABOUT THE BENEVOLENCE FUND
Grace Chapel established the Benevolence Fund to exemplify God’s love through the financial support of local individuals and families of Grace Chapel and the communities it serves in the Greater Boston Area, who may find themselves in financial hardships. The Pastor of Community Care works with each individual and/or family to provide support, encouragement, care, and Christ’s love.
PURPOSE OF THE BENEVOLENCE FUND
The Benevolence Fund’s primary purpose is to provide financial relief for urgent and/or crisis needs. We recognize that hardships may occur at any time in one’s life, which may result in financial stress and difficulties. The Benevolence Fund is created to help local individuals and families in situations of severe financial stress that may result in difficulties with shelter, medical care, utilities, and other
emergency needs.
THE BENEVOLENCE FUND COMMITTEE
The Benevolence Fund is administered by the Benevolence Fund Committee in accordance with the principles set forth in Scripture – every single individual matters to God, and we are commanded to care for one another.
TYPES OF ASSISTANCE
The Benevolence Fund is primarily meant to assist in meeting urgent or crisis needs and is not intended to be a long-term solution. Financial assistance may include but is not limited to:
- Medical expenses not covered by insurance, including mental health professionals

If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. - 1 John 3:17-18
